Anil Ravipudi and Venkatesh have delivered two big blockbusters with F2 and F3. Now, they have planned to release their next for Sankranti and deliver a huge hat-trick blockbuster. With huge buzz and anticipation, the  movie Sankrantiki Vasthunnam released on 14th January. Let's discuss about the movie in detail.

Plot:
YD Raju(Venkatesh), an ex-cop who has been suspended, is commissioned by CM to help his ex-lover Meenakshi(Meenakshi Chaudhary) in saving a world renowned Telugu CEO Akella(Avasarala Srinivas). But YD Raju's wife Bhagyam( Aishwarya Rajesh) decides to join him in the mission. What happens during the mission? Can this ex-cop really save the day for the CM? Watch the movie to know more.

Analysis:
Venkatesh, once again, proves his mettle as a performer in a comic role. He is able to blend his action prowess with ultimate comic timing and energy. The comedy works majorly because of his performance. Aishwarya Rajesh is great as Bhagyam but she is underwritten and limited. Meenakshi Chaudhary has a good role and scope for action scenes. She did well but her looks could have been much better.

Among others, Master Revanth as Bulli Raju, impresses us with his performance. But making a young kid speak such bad words as comedy is questionable. Still, as a performer he did his best. Upendra Limaye and Sai Kumar comedy track irritates after a point.

Music by Bheems Ceciroleo is good but the background score needed to be much better. Production values are not as great as we anticipate from a big production house. Still, the visuals are good enough for a family entertainer.

Writer and director Anil Ravipudi carved a niche for himself with his comic entertainers with weird yet sensible characters. But in this film, he went too much into weird characters without much care for sensibilities. He should have been able to create a perfect balance between emotional content and comedy.

But he succeeded in creating some funny one-liners and did not let too much of drag seep in to the film. While there are loads of misfires among comedy scenes, he did give a passable entertainer that works for the festival time.

In Conclusion:
Comedy works to an extent but the movie could have been much better.

Rating: 2.75/5
