Salman Khan comments about age-gap go viral

Salman Khan is starring in Sikandar film and the actor is looking to make a big comeback at the box office after Tiger 3 debacle. The movie is directed by AR Murugadoss and it is releasing for Eid on 30th March. The actor made comments addressing age gap between him and leading lady at press event.
Rashmika Mandanna is playing leading lady role and Salman stated that people start bringing their 31-year-old age gap and questioned but when she doesn't have an issue and her father doesn't have an issue, why should people have. He remarked that he will take her permission and work with her daughter as well.
These comments have divided social media with some accepting that actors are just professionally trying to sell a story on screen and that should not be made into an issue. While few others trolled Salman Khan for not addressing the issue seriously and trying to throw it under the carpet just with some smug looking quotes.
Well, Indian Cinema never really cared about age difference between the leads and now, few people are pointing out but if the story demands then no one can question. It is just that Salman and Rashmika pairing looks awkward on screen with zero chemistry, is making them notice it so much.
If it looks pleasing and aesthetically arresting, then no one would have any issue. On the other hand, Sikandar doesn't really look like a spirited comeback for Salman Khan has the songs and trailer did not really ignite the buzz as much as the makers wanted it to.
