Pawan Compares Audio Functions & Kapu Meet

on Feb 1, 2016

For the sake of speaking on the protests taken up by Kapu caste people in East Godavari district's Tuni the other day and how they turned violent leading to the torching of Ratnachal Express' coaches, Pawan Kalyan cancelled his "Sardaar Gabbar Singh" shoot and came all the way to Hyderabad to address the press.

"It's very unfortunate that the Kapu Gharjana protests have turned violent, train torched and many vehicles of police destroyed. This is a strong failure of ruling TDP government as they failed to asses the situation and make security arrangements. To organise audio functions of films, you ask tonnes of questions to give permission for the event, but why did you failed to provide similar security for this protests?" Pawan asked.

Also the Janasena boss advised the protesting Kapus to take up a peaceful route unlike these anit-societal incidents. Pawan believes that some anti-social elements have took part in the event to create the ruckus. "A simple protestor can raise slogans but can't skilfully torch trains and vehicles. I suspect there is involvement of anti-social elements in this aspect", Pawan says.

He concluded that he can't just give support to one particular caste, especially Kapus and confirmed that sovereignty and oneness of country is what his aim is. But he asked the governments to take care of Kapus and resolve the issue.
