Starring Naveen Chandra in the lead role, the series Inspector Rishi boasts a cast that includes Sunaina, Kanna Ravi, Srikrishna Dayal, Malini Jeevaratnam, and Kumar Vale, among others. Directed by Nandini J.S. and produced by Sukh Dev Lahiri under Make Believe Productions, "Inspector Rishi" promises a compelling mix of horror and crime. The Amazon Original will start streaming on the 29th of this month in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. The announcement was made at a press event held in Hyderabad.
During the event, actor Krishna Dayal shared insights about his role as Satya, a forest ranger, expressing excitement about the series and urging audiences to watch it on Amazon Prime Video in the coming days. Kanna Ravi, who plays an inspector named Ayyanar, praised the series' intricate storytelling and the challenges of shooting in the forest. He highlighted the strong character arcs and commended Naveen Chandra's portrayal of Inspector Rishi, alongside Sunaina's role as a forest officer, encouraging viewers not to miss the series.
Director Nandini JS expressed her appreciation for the diverse content appreciated by Telugu audiences and shared her childhood passion for horror, which inspired her to create this series. She emphasized that the story respects all castes, religions, and beliefs. Sunaina, reflecting on her decision to join the project, highlighted the series' broad appeal, combining elements of horror, thriller, romance, action, and comedy. Naveen Chandra, celebrating the birthday of actor Ram Charan, shared his excitement about the project and its diverse emotional range, describing it as a special addition to horror thrillers. He acknowledged the anticipation for the series following the trailer release and expressed gratitude towards the supportive feedback received from the audience and industry peers.
Heroine Sunaina said, "I heard the script of the web series 'Inspector Rishi' while making the film 'Raja Raja Chora' during the pandemic. As soon as I heard it, I was determined to be part of this series. I got a significant role in this story. I portray a forest ranger. This web series has desirable elements for all audience sections, combining horror, thriller, romance, action, and comedy. It was a pleasure to work with Naveen Chandra. He is a talented artist, engaging in diverse projects. Director Nandini gave us a lot of freedom during the shoot. There was a fun atmosphere on set with Kanna Ravi and Srikrishna Dayal. 'Inspector Rishi' is very interesting. Be sure to check it out. Regarding doing regular films in Telugu due to consecutive projects in Tamil, I am not receiving any suitable offers here. If you don't make a good film, you will face criticism. I want to do good movies, regardless of the language in which I am acting," she said.

I worked for about 100 days on this series. After coming home from shooting every day, it felt like the ghost in this series appeared in the bedroom, because I had a lot of combination scenes with the devil. I would like to thank the production house, Make Believe, for entrusting our director Nandini with such a big project. This is a 10-episode series. At the end of each episode, there is curiosity about what will happen next. Thanks to the superbly talented team, VFX team, and makeup team. After the release of the 'Inspector Rishi' web series trailer, many people sent me messages. It is scary, but they provided feedback saying that they will watch this series.
