on Apr 2, 2025

Indian 2 became a huge disaster for director Shankar and the movie became his first ever biggest flop at the box office. While Game Changer underwent similar fate, the director wants to complete Indian 3 and change the perception created upon him, by these two disasters.

He wants to complete the story he wanted to tell with Indian character and he is waiting for the dates of Kamal Haasan, say reports. Previously, major reports have stated that the producers Lyca Productions have decided to withdraw from the film and Red Giant is showing interest in completing it.

Current media reports are stating that Shankar and his team along with producers have seen the film edit copy and started discussions about where to add the scenes that need to be shot. They will finalise the number of days they need for shooting after Kamal Haasan allocates dates, it seems.

Kamal has asked the director and makers get ready with the scenes they want to shoot and then approach him, say reports. Currently, he finished his works for Mani Ratnam's Thug Life and has action choreographers Anbarivu directorial to start. Meanwhile, he finished an AI course and is in a foreign country for a small vacation.

So, the reports say that once he is back, whenever he is ready to give dates, the team will plan accordingly and they might need 20-25 days to shoot those portions. Producers have asked Shankar to cut out any eccentric portions and reshoot them if possible it seems. So, when will Indian 3 release and where, we have to wait and see.
