Ilaiyaraaja biopic halted due to these reasons?

Legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja has been able to leave his mark in Indian Cinema has a composer. His songs have reached a status of all-time classic status. He has a great fan base among the South Indian music lovers and hence, his biopic gained huge attention. 

The biopic based on the life of the legendary composer has been announced with a great fanfare earlier this year. Kamal Haasan has announced the movie and launched first look poster as well. Dhanush has been cast as Ilaiyaraaja and the actor stated it as his luck to be able to play such a great man's role. 

Now, the movie is said to be reached a halt due to financial reasons. The investors of the project did not seem to be stable to support such a big project for director Arun Matheswaran and Dhanush. Both of them have done extensive discussions about the script with inputs from legend, himself. 

As the makers needed to wait to find perfect faces to cast who resemble real people, they needed time. But the investors did not look the people who can bare all the time and money, such a prestigious project requires, reports suggest. Dhanush is also busy with his commitments like Kubera, Idly Kadai and Tere Ishk Mein films. 

So, further delay is inevitable. The production house could change for this film but any update regarding the movie won't be coming out soon, suggest reports.
