Game Changer to get effected by no hikes decision

on Dec 21, 2024

Ram Charan's Game Changer directed by Shankar is gearing up for release on 10th January 2025. The movie has been made on a huge budget and the makers have grave expectations on Sankranti Box Office pull to recover their money. But no ticket rate hikes and no benefit shows rule is going to effect them for the first weekend.

Producers looking at Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 The Rule hikes, Game Changer team also would have anticipated similar kind with an anticipation for Sankranti season to help the collections. From 10th to 18th, the makers would have been calculating about the hikes they need to ask looking at Daaku Maharaaj and Sankrantiki Vasthunnam competition. They would have wanted ticket hikes to compensate for screens loss with a hope to increase the audiences count.

Now, the stampede during Pushpa 2 The Rule has resulted in Telangana Government taking a huge decision to not allow hikes and benefit shows. This could be a result of TFI showing solidarity towards Allu Arjun after his arrest. CM Revanth Reddy looked upset with TFI people for this show of solidarity.

While Daaku Maharaaj and Sankrantiki Vasthunnam makers would have been okay with normal ticket rates, Game Changer makers would be hoping for hikes. With director Shankar at the helm, the movie has become a Pan-India film like Ram Charan's previous film RRR and even Acharya, starring him in a cameo, also got hikes.

So, the makers would have been hoping for better hikes to get returns on their investment, even in worst case scenario. Looking at Shankar's current form, fans are not that positive but now, they are even more worried with no hikes and extra benefit shows.
