The south cinema was often considered as conservative when it came to casting couch or other things.But today, things have changed. Recent days we are frequently hearing incidents of heroine being molested by directors or producers.
According to reports a debutant actress was allegedly molested by a small time film director. The actress of a low budget Telugu film 24 By Love approached the police alleging that the director V.S. Phani, molested her and asked for sexual favors. The victim told the police that he had been taking advantage of his position and was sexually exploiting her.
In her complaint the victim said that Phani went to her residence morning at 3 AM in Rahmath Nagar and called her. As she came out he caught hold of her hands and started molesting her. When she tried to resist he hit her too.
Police have booked a case on the director and investigation is going on.VS.Phani is debuting as director with this film, he was worked as an assistant director for Puri Jagannath. Chandu is the main lead, Sonali and Alekhaya are the female leads of the film.
