Comment: A Curse On Tamil Remakes

Well, earlier it was felt that if a Tamil hit is remade into Telugu, then it will become a smashing hit. Producers used to count how much money they would amass in such a lesser time. Gone are those days however.

Last year we have seen superhit low budget Hindi film "Soodhu Kavvum" remade in Telugu as "Geddam Gang", but that film failed miserably. Later "Sundarapandian" is made as "Speedunnodu" and that too failed. Nara Rohit's recent below average film "Tuntari" is also a remake of Tamil hit only. It's base don "Maan Karate" movie. Unfortunately a curse played on these remakes is that they will not even become average grossers at box office.

Next remakes to come are Sandeep Kishan's "Run" a remake of "Neram" and Megastar Chiranjeevi's 150th film a remake of "Kaththi" movie. Let's see how they will fare.
