Is there no Vishal in Tollywood? Well, the answer may be a sad yes. Vishal began his career as a lover boy but did not shy away from trying something different in Bala's Avan-Ivan (dubbed in Telugu as Vaadu-Veedu). The film sees the actor playing a squint-eyed rustic youth who is both naive and raw. Expectedly, it won him many accolades from his colleagues and critics, not to mention the admiration of his fans in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

However, Tollywood has a dearth of actors like Vishal, who can experiment with their looks. For mana Telugu heroes, experimentation with looks begins and ends with always trying something stylish, fashionable and sexy.
