Costly Demands Of Young Directors
on Sep 28, 2015
No doubt, Film Industry hasn't seen much change from the previous days to present days. No one loves to understand the budgets and producers pockets, but they want their investment, that's it. Two examples of how young directors are demanding for unwanted investment illustrates this.
Recently Harish Shankar has made a moderate film with "Subrahmanyam For Sale" and that is entertaining B & C centre audiences. For this film, he convinced Dil Raju to invest nearly 2.5 crores for that USA episode. Actually other producers asked to change that portion to some Singapore or Bangkok or but Harish demanded only USA as a location. He says USA is a hero. But if the film got flopped, surely Dil Raju would have lost a bomb. Similarly other young directors are also making sky-high demands without being sure if they will work or not.
