on Mar 21, 2015
Nani is back again to entertain the Telugu audience with a fresh movie titled ‘Yevade Subramanyam’. After watching the promos, one can easily understand that this film is not a regular masala movie. Let us check out the review of ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ to know more about the movie.
Story:
Subramanyam is a perfect person and he leads his life based on some principles. He believes in name and money. Everything is set in his life until his childhood best friend Rishi (Vijay) gives a re-entry into his life. Things take a U-turn and Subramanyam is about to lose his job and the girl in his life. All of a sudden, he is in Doodh Kasi along with Anandi (Malavika Nair). Reason behind these sudden developments should be watched on the big screen.
Analysis:
As said earlier, ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ is not a routine commercial entertainer. So, if you are looking for a regular Telugu commercial movie, stop reading this review and don’t even think of watching the film.
To begin with, ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ has a basic theme. Director conveys the message that one should live their life to the fullest. So, what are those things that a person should do in order to be happy?
Practically, this theme might not be possible, but yes it is ok to see it on the big screen and to think ourselves in the shoes of Subramanyam.
Teluguone Perspective:
Director made his point clear about Professional life vs personal life in this film. There are different kinds of people in this movie and some change after a series of incidents. For example, Nani doesn’t care about anything except money and name. But, in the end, he is fed up with the same money and he decides to give up everything and start a new life, where he doesn’t have any limitations.
Lead actors performances and the rich visuals are the major assets for this movie. Talking about the flaws, pace of the movie is dead slow in the second half and yes, we can’t expect anything better when only 2 or 3 people are there on the screen for more than an hour.
Positives:
Nani, Malavika & Vijay
Cinematography
Stunning Locations
Dialogues
Negatives:
Very Slow
Performances:
Nani has delivered another outstanding performance. He is is a perfect hero for this concept. Malavika Nair has a very strong resemblance to Nithya Menen and her performance is good. Vijay made an impressive debut and leaves his mark on the movie. Krishnam Raju’s present is felt. All the other actors have done their job.
Technicalities:
Stunning visuals and Cinematography are the major assets of this film. Music and BGM by Radhan are good. Production Values of Swapna Cinemas are grand.
Final Word: Yevade Subramanyam is one of those rare films where your heart gets deeply connected with the film and you leave the theater with thought about what you are…
Teluguone Rating: 3/5
