Vidya Balan Wins National Award

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan who entertained the audience as Silk aka Reshma in 'The Dirty Picture' has bagged the National Award for Best Actress at the 59th National Film Awards. Vidya has won laurels from critics and has set the screen ablaze with her versatile performance in the film. The Dirty Picture, directed by Mila Luthria and produced jointly by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor is a biopic on South Indian sex siren late Silk Smitha. The movie fetched several awards including Filmfare Award for Best Actress for Vidya Balan and six Colors Screen Awards in Best Director and Best Picture categories. The Dirty Picture has become a huge commercial success and has collected 117 crore gross worldwide respectively.
