It’s been long time since Sunil scored a hit. He pinned high hopes on Ungarala Rambabu. Will this film directed by Kranthi Madhav who earlier made couple of meaningful films Onamalu and Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju provide him break?

Story:
Rambabu (Sunil) is a happy go lucky guy who has 200 Cr worth properties. However, he losses everything after his only caretaker grandfather dies. Rambabu gets to meet a fake baba- Badam Baba (Posani) because of whom he finds a 200 Cr worth treasure. Rambabu sets up a travel agency where Savitri (Miya George) joins as his PA. Meanwhile, love bosoms between the two. When Savitri tells Rambabu that they need to get acceptance of her father Nair (Prakash Raj), a communist leader fights for farmers, for marriage, he decided to go to Savitri’s hometown along with her. How Rambabu impresses Nair and also solves problem of the village is rest of story…

Positives:
1. Prakash Raj
2. Pre Climax episode

Negatives:
1. Old Story
2. Sluggish Narration
3. Music
4. Camera work

Analysis:
Kranthi Madhav who made couple of meaningful films has opted to an old story for Ungarala Rambabu. Though he might have wanted to narrate another interesting and intensive story simultaneously, he botched to narrate it convincingly. Actually, the core point of a communist village fighting for farmers was given least importance. Actually, movie starts with Sunil’s childhood episodes and grandfather’s influence on him. The rich Sunil loses everything after his grandpa’s death. Fortunately, he meets a fake baba because of whom he finds a treasure of Rs 200 Cr. Sunil sets up a travel agency and Miya George joins the office as his PA. Interim, Miya starts liking him for a silly reason. Sunil also adores her for another reason. He takes her to Dubai to present her few surprises. However, repeated sequences of Sunil celebrating Miya’s birthday thrice test out patience levels. Then, story shifts to a communist village in Kochin. There’s a big problem in the village. Miya’s father Prakash Raj along with villagers fights against Govt to resolve the issue. However, the matter is completely sidelined, until pre climax. It’s Sunil who convinces district collector and resolves villagers’ problem. Except for this pre-climax episode there’s nothing much to describe in the film.

Artists Performances:
Sunil appeared heavy. We actually expect minimum of entertainment from Sunil and his films. However, there hardly have any entertaining episodes in the film. Miya George was just okay. Neither she looked stunning nor did she give extraordinary performance. Prakash Raj is the only positive factor in the film. Most of the sequence he appeared in was remarkable. Posani Krishna Murali was wasted and Vennela Kishore provided some laughs. Other artists were okay.

Technical Aspect:
We get a doubt that whether script was penned by Kranthi Madhav who earlier made momentous films. Ungarala Rambabu caters nothing for any section of audiences. Neither story was unique nor screenplay was gripping. Even dialogues penned by him were pretty ordinary. Music by Ghibran was a drawback. Songs as well as background score were feeble. Cinematography by Sarvesh Murari was pathetic. Production values of United Movies were below par.

Verdict:
Ungarala Rmbabau has zero chances to shine at Box Office.

TeluguOne Perspective:
Emira Rambabu… Emira Ee Torture
