Trolls: What went wrong with Vishwambhara Teaser?
on Oct 14, 2024
Vishwambhara, the high budget movie starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, Trisha Krishnan, Ashika Ranganath, is gearing up for huge release Summer next year. The movie team were preparing to release the film by Sankranthi 2025 but Ram Charan's Game Changer team requested Chiranjeevi and now, Vishwambhara would release in Summer.
The makers wanted to start promotions from Dasara till Sankranthi creating constant buzz. But the last moment decision had them shocked but they continued with the release of teaser, as earlier planned. They can take this as a blessing in disguise. Because the early reactions to teaser have been highly mixed.
While some fans of Chiranjeevi are happy with his looks and Jagadeeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari style story, most are unhappy with visuals. Director Vassishta seems to have openly taken inspiration from recent Hollywood biggies. There are threads with images being compared all over social media.
Visual quality too is not at the same level as anticipated. While MM Keeravaani's BGM score is praised, the film that's planned to be a visual wonder seems to have failed to give that "awe" feeling with this teaser. Same problem persisted with Prabhas's Adipurush. The makers had to postpone for six months but their output did not change much as writing had many loopholes.
Vishwambhara team can go back to drawing board to correct some over-colorful visuals and work on matte painting better. Even some visuals look a bit too inspired from Marvel films and while they cannot change it entirely, they can try different color templates with highlights being less saturated.
Many visuals seem to have been asked to present at over saturated colors without shadows and realistic looking color grading, skin texturing. They can take this time to change that and improve on every detail that is missing from the visuals released in the teaser for Trailer.
Recently, Vijay's The Greatest of All Time makers changed de-ageing output of the actor after fan backlash. There is enough time for Megastar's film and let's hope the makers will look at all the feedback in a positive manner and make it better.
