Trisha secures a rare record in Tamil Nadu

on Oct 5, 2024

Leading actress Trisha Krishnan has been making waves in her second innings. She had a blockbuster run with Mounam Pesiyadhe, Saamy, Ghilli, Thirupaachi in Tamil. With time, she faced huge flops and became part of forgettable films like Nayagi, Mohini. From '96, she started her second innings with great flare.

Now, she is playing lead opposite big stars like Thalapathy Vijay and Ajith Kumar. At the age of 41 too, she has been able create sensation dancing with Vijay in his latest release, The Greatest of All Time. Interestingly, she is once again being seen as a golden leg for Tamil films, mainly, big ones.

She has been part of all the films that grossed over Rs.200 crores in Tamil Nadu. No other actress has such a record and amazingly, she secured such a distinction in her second innings. The Greatest of All Time, Leo and Ponniyin Selvan I grossed over Rs.200 crores in the state and all of them have Trisha in common among the cast.

Even though The Greatest of All Time has her only in a special song, still her persence has managed to create great hype and buzz around the film, post release. We have seen many stories of resurrection in various fields, but this historical record by any actress. Hope she continues this successful run further with Vidaa Muyarchi, Thug Life and Good Bad Ugly too.
