Five Hits In 2 Months: Good Time For TFI

2017 is going to be a superb calendar year for TFI with a good hit percentage. In first half of the year films like Khaidi No 150, Gautamiputra Shatakarni, Shatamanam Bhavati, Nenu Local, Guru, Baahubali: The Conclusion, Keshava and Rarandoi Veduka Chudham ended as hits to super hits.
In second half as well, TFI is in good phase with consecutive hits. In last couple of months, we have five Telugu films which attained blockbuster status. Ninnu Kori, Fidaa, Nene Raju Nene Mantri, Anando Brahma and Arjun Reddy are the five films which pleased audiences as well as producers.
1. Ninnu Kori:
Natural Star Nani’s romantic musical entertainer Ninnu Kori won accolades of critics as well as movie buffs. The film directed by Shiva Nirvana made strong business in overseas as well as domestic. Lead actors performance, captivating music, drama and convincing climax are reasons for Ninnu Kori becoming a hit.
2. Fidaa:
Sekhar Kammula who used to make feel good romantic entertainers was back with Fidaa. The movie proved that, films with potential or unique script will gratify spectators. The Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi starrer raked around Rs 40 crores till date and it is still leaking decent shares at box office. Sekhar mark writing and treatment, Sai Pallavi’s performance, Shakthi Kanth Karthick’s music and Vijay C Kumar’s cinematography were the major highlights.
3. Nene Raju Nene Mantri:
Rana Daggubati who was riding high with Baahubali success enjoyed another stupendous hit with Nene Raju Nene Mantri. Rana’s vigorous promotions helped the movie garnering humongous openings. Nonetheless, major reason for NRNM producers and distributors enjoying huge profits was the movie was made on reasonable budget.
4. Anando Brahma:

There wasn’t much buzz, before the movie hit the screens, since it didn’t have a ‘star’ who can pull off audience to theaters. Taapsee Pannu who hardly scored hits here was the lead actor in the film, whereas few comedians including Srinivas Reddy played male lead roles. Since, Anando Brahma had adequate hilarity; it went on to become a super hit for its budget.
5. Arjun Reddy:
Vijay Deverakonda was criticized as one movie wonder. But, he gave fitting reply to his critics with the film Arjun Reddy which is completely dominating the overseas and domestic market owing to positive reviews and optimistic public talk. The Sundeep Reddy directed movie has already entered safe zone for both makers and buyers, and it is likely to provide minimum of 4 times profits to distributors who spent tiny amounts to acquire the film for their zones.
Let’s hope, Telugu filmmakers produce few more blockbusters towards end of this year!
