Popular Indian cinematographer and director Teja was banned by Andhra Pradesh film employees federation (APFEF) as soon as he revealed about hiring telangana crew for his upcoming film “hora-hori” to promote telangana born talent. APFEF took a serious note of his contravention and announced non-cooperation which is a counterpart to ban on film maker which can also impact the film production.
Seemingly, in the notice issued to various trade bodies including telugu film producers council, directors, writers, chambers etc., claiming that 14000 cine workers in 24 crafts would not cooperate with the film maker teja.
When approached, director teja confessed that APFEF has issued a non-cooperation notice, “as I’m shooting in vizag and I just got to know about the issue through my industry friends but I am determined to promote new talent particularly from Telangana. In point of fact, after the formation of new state, Telangana cine workers body started working. So APFEF has no sovereignty to ban me and it doesn't affect me. I will release my film in may as planned” he added.
He also received full support from TRS MLA and minister for his effort to promote local workers, he was appreciated for taking risk to give break to Telangana talent.
