Tamannaah's Odela 2 Trailer: Ammoru meets Akhanda

Tamannaah Bhatia starrer Odela 2 is a sequel to Odela Railway Station. The movie is written by Sampath Nandi and he surpervised the project with Ashok Teja directing it. D. Madhu is producing the film with a huge budget and the movie is releasing on 17th April worldwide.

The movie trailer is released at Gaiety Galaxy in Mumbai and it visually it is appealing. While the production values and VFX are good, the writing looks like Ammoru story meets Akhanda style characterisation. The dialogues and Tamannaah performance don't really live up to the kind of anticipation created for the film.

Virupaksha and Masooda kind of films have re-invented the horror genre but this supernatural thriller looks a little too old school with Ammoru coming to our memory at most places. Tamannaah has been given mass dialogues like in Akhanda but her performance doesn't match the style.

But visually the movie is good and it is executed very well by the makers. If the screenplay works big time, the movie will be successful at the box office with the kind of story selected by the makers. Let's see how the movie will work on big screens.
