Suriya: I'm not like Prabhas or Rana

Suriya has started promoting his big budget modern folklore fusion drama Kanguva. He talked to a big media house from Mumbai about the film along with director Siva. While talking about the film, he made some interesting points. He stated that he is not built like Prabhas or Rana to carry a warrior role in period drama like Baahubali.
He stated that before taking a role like Kanguva, he had to take a leap of faith like he did while doing Ghajini and Rolex character in Vikram. Suriya revealed that he had doubts if he can pull off a person who forgets for every 15 mins in a commercial cinema and if he can pull off a negative character, while doing those films. As they both clicked, he stated that he once again took a jump and at the age of 49, once again built a six-pack body.
About Kanguva Part-2, he stated that the story is being written and it will take off only when Kanguva will be a blockbuster. He called it as Tamil Cinema's Baahubali, KGF and RRR. Suriya expressed great confidence in the movie having an universal content and connect to really become that big Pan-India hit.
He further shared that for money that his mother owed as loan he became an actor and never thought he would become an actor as he always wanted to start a Textile Industry. As he saw people giving him love, he took the craft seriously and gave it all.
Suriya hoped that Kanguva will be a Sholay kind of a success that stays forever in Indian Cinema. He stated that they worked 2 years on the film and will comeback to the universe, as there is story to tell but only if people love it.
Suriya further stated that Rolex will happen after his and director Lokesh Kanagaraj's commitments will be over. He did not spill any beans about Kaithi 2 with Karthi. He agreed that Ghajini 2 is in talks.
Director Siva shared that he is able to cut the film to two hours and 32 minutes. Kanguva is releasing on 14th November.
