Superstar Rajni Awarded Padma Vibhushan

Yet another delight for Superstar's fans, as Government of India today confirmed that they are conferring India's second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan to Rajnikanth. This most prestigious award is generally not given to Film Celebs, but its wonder that Rajni is given the second highest honors. For his services and excellence as star and social activist to the film industry, he has given this award

Coming to others, Telugu media baron, Chairman of Eenadu group of media companies Ramojirao is also being honored with Padma Vibhushan. Among others chosen for this years Padma Vibhushan are Yamini Krishnamurhy, Rajinikanth, Sri Sri Ravishankar, Ramoji Rao, Jagmohan, Girija Devi, Vishwanathan Shanta,Vasudev Aatre.Reliance Industries founder late Dhirubhai Ambani (posthumously).

Baahubali fame SS Rajamouli is conferred Padma Sri award.
