Vennela Kishore after sometime has come up with another movie with him in the lead role, Srikakulam Sherlockholmes. The movie presenter Nandipati Vamsi made a huge challenge that he would be ready to talk to those people who would call him after watching the film, if it is not up to the mark. Movie released on 25th December and let's discuss about it in detail.
Plot:
On the night of Rajeev Gandhi's assassination, in Visakhapatnam, woman named Mary is murdered. Amid the chaos, the local police turn to the brilliant Srikakulam detective, Sherlock Holmes (Vennela Kishore), to solve the case in seven days.
Sherlock identifies seven suspects and, through his unique methods, uncovers their secrets. He unravels the truth behind Mary's murder, revealing a shocking plot that tests his intellect. The investigation leads to a climax, as Sherlock exposes the real killer and the motive behind the crime.
Analysis:
Vennela Kishore is good in parts and his comedy works at places. As an agent with an accent he is able to create some moments to cheer up. Ananya Nagalla, Siya Gowtam are not bad and not great too. Rest of the cast doesn't have much to do.
Movie lacks imagination in setting up the conflict and investigation parts. It tries to be a thriller and also a comedy with political satires. While the makers claimed Chantabbayi, kind of a character, being an inspiration for the lead character design, they could not create worthy scenes like the cult comedy.
The resolution of the conflict, twists and even the climax doesn't make much sense. Maybe a better script could have helped the makers. Production values are good for the budget but rest all could have been even better.
In Conclusion:
A disappointing case!
