Sreenu Vytla, Change The Formula Man
on Oct 19, 2015
Dookudu. Baadashah. Namo Venkatesa. Ready. And most recently Bruce Lee. All these films not just have Sreenu Vaitla and Kona Venkat in common, but also they have the same formula churned out. During the promotions of the movie, Vaitla promised to give a brand new entertainer this time with a new formula but he hasn't changed much.
Probably the introspection done by Sreenu Vaitla after the flop show of "Aagadu" hasn't happened in the right direction. He has headed towards all wrong turns and finally ended up in the same old cocoon. Bruce Lee is nothing but another Vaitla-Kona formulaic story where the action shifts to a house in the second half, though the shades are little duller this time. With "Aagadu" itself it is proved that this formula has reached expiry date and "Bruce Lee" proved it again that the expiry date is already over.
Time for Sreenu Vaitla to realise the fact that the juice in his formula is over. Even though he too agreed with this, it is pity that he haven't changed much. Being such a talented director, probably he should try hand at other happening genres, formulae or should create one. Are you reading Sreenu Vaitla?
