Distributors Losing Faith In Mahesh Babu
on Oct 3, 2017
An actor’s film business depends on box office collections of his previous movie. Producers and distributors dare to invest high budgets if the actor’s last movie was a commercial hit. Or else, if the actor’s previous movie was a flop, buyers may not fancy to hike or pay the same amount.
Superstar Mahesh Babu was the second top star in Tollywood with stupendous market value in key centers such as Nizam and Overseas. However, distributors have lost faith in the actor since his last couple of movies- Brahmotsavam and Spyder incurred them huge losses. While Brahmotsavam provided them nearly 40 per cent losses, Spyder is expected to become biggest disaster in Mahesh’s career.
In fact, an actor’s market stamina can be described how far his film can pull off with negative talk. Usually, business will be augmented for a star hero movie if it gets enthusiastic reports. But, only films of stars with potential market value can survive to some extent even with lukewarm response.
Mahesh Babu movies rake big numbers only when they win appreciation of both critics and audience. And if Mahesh movies are criticized, they won’t mint even decent numbers from box office. Actually, Mahesh Babu has many disasters than any other star hero of current generation in Tollywood. This shows inconsistency in Mahesh Babu’s trade value!
