Deva Katta And Smitha Deliver Right Message

on Aug 14, 2015

Like we said yesterday, pop singer Smitha and talented director Deva Katta have come up with a short film titled “Dying To Be Me”.

This film is is dedicated to the cause of women’s economic independence and a small effort to make our society think about its women and encourage and support them to realise their true potential”, says Smitha. In fact, the film talks about how husbands generally make women feel that their regular household chores are their jobs and raising up children is another big job.

Rather staying at home and feeling sad during old age, “Dying To Be Me” asks women to step out to work and also asks men to allow women to work.

“Women comprise 50% of India’s population; contribute to 70% of work hours; earn 10% of India’s salary, own 1% of India’s wealth— Support economic independence of women”, the film concludes.
