Singham Again is modern Avengers with Ramayan twist

on Oct 7, 2024

Singham Again film has been in production from past two years. Rohit Shetty, post Sooryavanshi, hasn't been able to produce blockbuster success at the box office. His film Cirkus and web-series Indian Police Force failed miserably. He tried to extend his Cop Universe with Indian Police Force but that did not receive any susequent mileage.

He returned back to Singham series after Cirkus and this time he has decided to use every possible trick in the book. He has cast big stars like Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor as the villain. The film team dropped 4 minutes 58 seconds long trailer showcasing almost entire plot.

Rohit Shetty has decided to follow Avengers style screenplay with story drawing parallel to epic Ramayana. He has decided to make Singham, Lord Ram and his wife as Seetha with Arjun Kapoor as "Kalyug Ravana". On top of it, Tiger Shroff is Laxman, Ranveer Singh is Hanuman and Akshay Kumar is Jatayu. Deepika Padukone happens to be "Lady Singham".

Well, in his penchant to make a huge commercial success, Rohit Shetty seems to be using Ramayan as the bait for audiences. The trailer features all the important entries of the characters and while the director wants it to be an event film releasing for Diwali weekend, he blasted all his crackers in the trailer for Navaratri, itself.

The repetitiveness in his action making style and too desperate attempt at pleasing audiences is laced throuhgout the trailer. While commercial heroes are "Demi Gods", equating them to "Real Gods" is just going over-the-top like he always does. Let's see if this Cop Universe "Avenger Cops" have that much strength to crackle at the box office. Movie is releasing on 1st November all over.
