Sikandar Teaser: Salman Khan goes Rajini Route

on Dec 28, 2024

Sikandar starring Salman Khan is gearing up for a wide release on EID 2025. AR Murugadoss is directing this film, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. He is directing a Hindi film after Holiday and Akira. Salman Khan specially wanted him to direct this film after facing continuous flops over 7 years.

After, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, Salman Khan has been facing a huge low at the box office. Until then, he became a hit machine with every film of his becoming a huge blockbuster. In 2023, when SRK made a huge comeback with Pathaan, Jawan with action films, he failed to give even decent openers with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan and Tiger 3. So, he took a decision to bring AR Murugadoss to direct his next following Jawan success.

Sikandar teaser has been released on 28th December rather on his birthday on 27th, giving respect to deceased ex-PM Manmohan Singh. In the teaser, the makers have followed Rajinikanth template like he did in Petta. Salman Khan is standing with his back towards people and they try to assassinate him.

Salman Khan says, "People are hoping for his downfall to kill him from back but he needs to just turn back to face them". This teaser reminds us about Rajini's famous one line "Naan Vizhvenani Nenachayo" intro from Petta and even Kamal Haasan's Thug Life action teaser.

The score from Santhosh Narayanan tries to mix Punjabi folk with techno music but it feels underwhelming as it seems forcibly attached to the teaser. But Salman Khan looks stylish and good in this teaser. Fans are hoping this to be his huge comeback. Let's see if that is the case.
