Shri Ram and Lakshman are fictional - Anchor Sreemukhi hurts Hindu sentiments

on Jan 8, 2025

Indians are deeply connected with Lord Shri Ram and it is hurtful to even speak against him to many. Anchor Sreemukhi in her over enthusiasm to praise producers Shirish and Dil Raju, she equated them with Shri Ram and Lakshman. While doing so, she called Lord Ram and Lakshman fictional.

She made these comments at Sankrantiki Vasthunnam trailer release event at Nizamabad. It is normal to hype up heroes, producers and talk about them in high esteem but when comparing them with Ram and Lakshman, stating that they are fictional is highly irresponsible.

Now, deep rooted Hindu religion based cultural clubs or Sanghas have started objecting to her comments asking her to take those comments back. Sage Valmiki wrote Ramayana as Ithihasam - which means History and he did not mention them as fictional characters.

Even if someone believes so, when dealing with religious comparisons and drawing parallels to mythological characters that are highly connected to every Indian, any person should maintain a decorum, say Hindu culture leaders. They are asking for an apology from her with immediate effect for her hurting comments.

These comments made by anchor Sreemukhi have hurt many religious sentiments of Hindus and it has become a trending issue on social media. Sankrantiki Vasthunnam starring Victory Venkatesh, Aishwarya Rajesh, Meenakshi Chaudhary is releasing on 14th January.
