Is RGV still a part of the Akkineni camp

on Jun 4, 2014

It’s rare for director Ramgopal Varma to praise a good film, but this time around he was extremely appreciate of the film Manam and was seen giving his feelings about the film and how nice it would have been if ANR was alive to see this Wonderful movie, Chaitanya’s performance and Nagarjunas. Now this overdose fo praise makes us feel that he overtly praising the Akkineni family. Check out these twitter praises-

  • Just Saw Manam. ..If it was made in Bollywood it wud have straight gone for 100 crores..its an avant garde product but deeply rooted in earth.
  • Manam is the first constructive demonstration that Tollywood actually can go into a new age of cinema thus breaking done to death shackles.
  • There was a standing ovation at the end in the theatre I saw Manam which I doubt ever happens for a telugu film.
  • I feared Chaitanya would feel overawed in sharing the same screen space with Nag but he was terrific..
  • In fact in Manam, Chaitanya was way far better than how Nag was in his first screen sharing experience with ANR.
  • From the time ANR brought the industry to Hyderabad to Nag taking it further on to a new age cinema...that's what I call a great journey.
  • The only tragedy of Manam is that ANR is not alive to see this astounding celebration of human emotions.
  • Nag and Chaitanya's onscreen chemistry is the best I ever saw between two actors.
  • Both Nag and Vikram deserve multiple salutes for making a film like Manam happen.
