Rajinikanth film prompted Lyca to push Ajith's VidaaMuyarchi

Ajith Kumar shocked everyone with late update for Pongal 2025 release. Many expected none of his both films - Good Bad Ugly and VidaaMuyarchi to be ready in time. While GBU makers have decided to work overtime to complete the film and release it for Pongal, VidaaMuyarchi team wanted to utilise the festival release opportuninty.
Lyca Productions, the production company of VidaaMuyarchi, have been going through financial crisis from past one year. They wanted Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan to be a huge blockbuster in the range of Jailer or at least gross over Rs.400 crores worldwide. Film did not collect so much and ended up being a breakeven success.
They have been struggling to complete VidaaMuyarchi as well as the unpredictable weather in Azerbaijan delayed the film's shoot further. Now, they have decided to push the film for Pongal 2025 release rather than GBU. They needed the Pongal season as the movie can pull audiences to theatres for at least a week during the festival even in worst case scenario.
Hence, the movie team who have been waiting for finishing a song shoot have decided to complete post production works and get ready for Pongal 2025 release. Even star composer Anirudh Ravichander has been asked to complete his work with Pongal in mind way back in October, it seems.
Reports also suggest that Ajith did not enter into the equation but asked both of his producers to not lose Pongal date. Before leaving for his Ajith Kumar Racing practice session, he gave a clarity about his dates and availability for both GBU and VidaaMuyarchi teams it seems. Hence, Lyca discussed with Mythri Movie Makers and released the teaser.
Now, fans of Ajith and entire Kollywood is shocked with the kind of output the teaser showcased. The quality of framing, visuals and Anirudh Ravichander's score has become a talking point. But they are disappointed that they came very late in the night. Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Regina, Arav are cast in the other prominent roles in the film, directed by Magizh Thirumeni.
