Powerstar’s Next Is “Naanum Herodhaan”

Not the Tollywood Powerstar we are talking about, but that comedy hero in Tamilnadu who is called as Powerstar Srinivasan. This hero is coming up with a movie titled “Naanum Herodhaan” and the film has Superstar Rajnikanth connection to it.

Digging into the controversies surrounding superstar Rajinikanth-starrer “Lingaa”, this film will be a spoof on it. Feauturing actor Powerstar Srinivasan in the lead role, the film was officially launched on Friday. The film is said to be made on the lines of the film Allari Naresh’s Sudigaadu, a spoof that took a dig at several popular top heroes films without hurting the sentiments of any. And there is a social service angle behind this film.

“Lingaa”, which released on Rajinikanth’s birthday in 2014, turned out to be a dud, resulting in heavy losses for its distributors who paid astronomical sum to buy and release the film. Following the film’s poor show at the box office, Rajni was forced to pay 10 crores back, but that didn’t helped any. That’s why, this film will be distributed free of cost to help all those who burnt their pockets by distributing ‘Lingaa’.
