Actress Suicide Attempt: Case On Kamal

Actress Oviya who will next be seen opposite hero Tarun in Idi Naa Love Story had left the Bigg Boss show recently citing medical reasons. She had attempted suicide on the reality show in the August 4th episode. The reason she cited was that she was under tremendous stress.
Oviya is now summoned by Nazarathpet police. The complainant said that participants in the show were asked to stay inside a sealed house for 100 days and could leave only with the permission of the organizers.
A complaint has also been filed at Nazarathpet police station against the producers of the show, Vijay TV and the show's host Kamal Haasan.
The complainant claimed that the TV channel had telecast visuals of Oviya attempting to commit suicide by immersing herself in a pool inside the Bigg Boss house.
The petitioner has asked for the show to be banned on the grounds of protecting Tamil culture. Oviya's suicide attempt was telecast on TV to garner TRP ratings for the show and the channel, he said.
On the other hand, police told a daily that Oviya’s personal secretary has denied about the suicide attempt.
