Being it a debut for Niharika Konidela, the movie "Oka Manasu" hit the theaters today. By starting off her career, as a Television host, this is the first time Niharika appears on the big screen. Naga Shourya, who has gained a good fame with the movies like "Oohalu Gusa Gusa Lade', 'Lakshmi Rave Ma Intiki', has starred opposite Niharika.Rama Raju's direction seems to be very promising. Madhura Sridhar is the producer under the banner TV9. Here is the review of the movie Oka Manasu:
Story Line:
Naga Shourya has played the role of a young politician named Surya, his father's role is played by Rao Ramesh. Niharika who played Sandhya is a doctor in the same village where Surya lives. Sandhya and Surya meet each other, and soon love buds in between them.
The whole story runs behind their love, the problems they face, the barriers they come across.
Roles and Performances:
Oka Manasu, being a debut for Niharika Konidela, she has done justice for her role as Sandhya. Niharika seems to have done a good job in the romantic and sentimental scenes. Niharika is seen in a 'girl-next-door' kind look, wearing sarees and traditional dresses. Naga Shourya appears in a matured role in this flick. Being branded as a lover-boy, Naga Shourya proved that he is capable of carrying matured roles too.
Rao Ramesh, as usual, was one of those fine actors who bring in the whole appeal of the story. His dialogues were well received at the theaters.
Technical Aspects:
The story was penned by the director Rama Raju himself. Though the first half was dragged so much, the story is definitely connective to the audience. The Cinematography was too good. The locations, visuals were appealing. Music by Sunil Kashyap was unveiled earlier, and the impact of the music on the movie is so positive. The songs and BGM were perfectly in sync with the story.
Tone Review:
The movie Oka Manasu is a full-length love story, with romance, sentiment, tragedy and freshness in narration. The first half went on well with simple story narration. The story is exactly revealed only after the interval. All the emotions are well portrayed in this movie, except the slow narration, that gives the appeal of a TV serial.
A clean romantic, full-length love story with a dragging narration.
Tone Rating: 2.25/5
