on Nov 3, 2016
Ram Charan's debut movie 'Chirutha' saw Neha Sharma as his leading lady. Neha is now overwhelmed that her first international venture “Xuan Zang” has been selected as the Chinese entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars. The movie also features other Indian actors like Sonu Sood and Ali Fazal. Reacting to the news Neha said, “I was just going through Twitter when I read about the fact that it is the Chinese entry for Oscars. I was like ‘wow’. This is what dreams are made of. The feeling is spectacular,”. "During final exams in schools, Oscars used to come around the same time in the morning. I used to wake up in the morning and watch it, I was that big a fan of the academy awards. So when a film that you are a part of is being sent as an entry, it truly feels out of the world,” she added. Directed by Huo Jianqi and produced by Academy favorite Wong Kar-wai, the film depicts the legendary and epic seventh-century journey of a Buddhist monk from China to India. Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming plays the monk who took 17 years to complete his journey.
