Trade Talk: 60 Crores Burden On Srimanthudu

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s latest movie is arriving with huge pomp and display of grandeur. The movies is likely to hit in more than 3500 screens according to one unofficial estimate. With the movie releasing, trade circles are busy to assess how much it is going to collect.
Actually Srimanthudu has a burden of 60 crores on its shoulders, becuase the theatrical rights of Telugu version of the flick are sold to distributors at 42 crores while Tamilnadu rights are sold on share-basis at 3 crores. Karnataka is sold out at 6 crores, Odisha and other areas are sold for a crore, while Overseas fetched 8 crores. All these nearly account to 60 crores of theatrical rights revenue and only if that is recovered, distributors will be safe.
Srimanthudu Telugu satellite rights are sold for 12 cores, while Hindi dubbing rights are given for 5 crores. Both are acquired by Zee TV for 17 crores.
