Mahanubhavudu Is The Only Hit

Who is the winner of Dussehra race? Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu and Sharwanand were in Dussehra race with their respective films Jai Lava Kusa, Spyder and Mahanubhavudu. Few criticized Sharwa for daring to release his movie against two biggies. Proving them wrong, Sharwanand scored hit with Mahanubhavudu, whereas NTR’s movie turned out as an average grosser and Spyder ended as biggest disaster of the year.
In fact, buzz was far high on Spyder compared to other outings for Dussehra. Since the AR Murugadoss directed movie received unenthusiastic reports, collections were dropped drastically from first Monday itself. Spyder minted around Rs 62 crores worldwide (including all languages).
Bobby directed Jai Lava Kusa too has got mixed response. Nonetheless, negative talk for Spyder has become an advantage for JLK which collected a full run share around Rs 72 crores. Curiously, the NTR star provided losses to buyers in few areas, though it entered safe zone in other centers.
Overall, Sharwanand’s Mahanubhavudu is the true hit of Diwali. The Maruthi directed movie made on moderate budget has raked full run share of Rs 25 crores. This is third hit for Sharwa in festival race after Express Raja and Shatamanam Bhavati.
