In his recently released M S Reddy's autobiography he took a jibe at above mentioned film luminaries including film star turned politician Chiranjeevi and director Gunashekar. Here's is some of the extracts from his book which we are presenting it you.
M S Reddy On Jr.NTR: MS Reddy says, when he introduced Jr.NTR with Bala Ramayanam Jr.NTR promised M S that he will do his first movie with him but, instead NTR did his first movie under Usha Kiran Movies. But MS Reddy was mum on Jr.NTR's move as went on to do several movies under various banners. When Reddy questioned NTR's about his move he finally agreed to do his ninth movie under his banner. When NTR came to meet M S in his office and then Reddy started narrating story to NTR.In mean while now Rajya Sabha MP, Subbi Rami Reddy arrived to meet M S on his personal work.and M S asked to wait Jr.NTR in other room in his office. When talks between Subbi Rami Reddy and M S reddy concluded, he went on to see JR.NTR who was waiting in other room. But to his surprise Jr.NTR left from the room warning MS Reddy's manager saying, I will show my cognition(thadaka) to MS Reddy who switched his priority to Subbi Rami Reddy leaving me beside.
M S Reddy on Gunashekar: when Gunashekar introduced himself as assistant director of Ram Gopal Varma and director of two films which bombed at the box office in 1994. Gunashekar than requested M S Reddy to watch his new produced and directed movie “Sogasu Chooda Tarama”. When M S Reddy watched Gunashekar's new movie, M S was quite impressed with director's work and Reddy introduced Gunashekar to some of his well known film distributors. When Sogasu Chooda Tarama released into the market, eventually movie brought some recognition to the director Gunashekar and he asked producer M S to give a chance to make a Bala Ramayanam starring Jr.NTR in the movie under his banner and Reddy agreed to do so. Eventually movie was released and Bala Ramayanam got plenty good acclaims but could not fetch much revenue to M S Reddy due to another devotional movie Annamayya too released at same time.
After few months M S Reddy asked director Gunashekar to come up with a commercial project as he was running into financial crisis. Gunashekar accepted and a week later Director came up to M S Reddy and informed him that Chiranjeevi gave his nod to direct a film titled Choodalani Undi. Gunashekhar said to producer Reddy that "If his film succeeds at boxoffice then craze for their combination will create hype in the market. So Gunashekar asked M S to resume their work after Choodalani Undi releases for which M S Reddy gave his accent.
Later M S Reddy planned a movie keeping prince Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika in his mind with Gunashekar and gave Rs 5 Lakhs as advances to both the stars and Gunashekar too. After the release of Chiranjeevi's Choodalani Undi, Gunashekar announced his next movie(Okkadu) with Mahesh babu and Bhoomika with MS Raju as his producer. For which M S Reddy astonished and was deeply upset with his announcement and pleaded Gunashekar to bail him out of financial doldrums. But Gunashekar showed his wickedness and went ahead to do movie with MS Raju. Producer M S Reddy termed Gunashekar as one of most vicious person he has ever seen in his life.
M S Reddy on Chiranjeevi: when Producer M S Reddy produced Tatayya Premalelalu, he was deeply stuck under financial crisis. When late Allu Ramalingayya offered M S some relief saying, he would contact his son-in law Chiranjeevi who was zooming high in his career at that time to do a movie under M S Reddy banner and for which Chiranjeevi agreed to his father-in law's words. When M S Raju contacted Chiranjeevi repeatedly, actor turned his blind eye towards producer and cold shouldered him.
With M S Reddy sharing his real life experiences and repercussions he faced with the star hero's in the industry. we can conclude that, if Telugu cinema producers start bringing wicked deeds done by the actors behind the screens into bright light, then one can assume would had been their place, fame and image ? Hero's are just hero's in reel life and baddies in their real life.
