L2 Empuraan re-edited version to play from this date

Mohanlal starrer L2 Empuraan has released to a record breaking collections at the box office on 27th March. The movie has become the fastest Malayalam movie to collect over Rs.100 crores and it is charging towards 250 crores lifetime as per the trade experts. Now, the movie had to be re-edited due to religious objections.
The movie makers have decided to go for re-censor after Hindu organisations have voiced out their objections. Mohanlal had to offer public apology for hurting any sentiments. Prithviraj Sukumaran, who directed the film, did not offer explanation but his mother stated that her son should not targeted and made a scapegoat.
She assured that the actor turned director never had any vegeance towards any religious belief and he is a person who doesn't hurt others. Now, the re-edited version will be playing from tomorrow in Hindi circuits while in South circuits it will take some more time, 3-4 days.
More than 2 minutes have been removed and many blurs, mutes have been added to appease the factions who expressed objections. The makers are hoping for the exctreme amount of negativity to die down post this move. Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier are also part of this huge budget action drama written by Murali Gopy.
