L2 Empuraan producer says they will delete controversial scenes

L2 Empuraan has released worldwide on 27th March and it has become the fastest Malayalam film to collect Rs.100 crores gross worldwide as well. The Mohanlal starrer directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran did not get an unanimous positive reception but highly mixed talk and reviews. 


While some liked the content and intent behind it, several people raised objections with portrayal of Hindus in the first 20 minutes. Mainly, a disturbing scene has been pointed out and several people have also talked about how insensitive it is to be seen on big screen. 


Several people have voiced out their objections on the social media and criticised Mohanlal and Prithviraj for being Hindus and depicting them so low. Looking at the backlash, one of the producers, Gokulam Gopalan has announced that the controversial parts will be edited out or deleted going forward. He stated that the makers have taken into account agitators feelings and they have taken the decision. 


He further stated that they don't want to divide people but bring them together with films. He stated that it would take time to achieve it as they have to do it over 4000 locations. L2 Empuraan is doing great business and it is set to collect huge over the holiday period around the world.
