Kumbh Mela fame Monalisa's director Sanoj Mishra gets arrested

Director Sanoj Mishra, who created news headlines by offering a movie to Monalisa, the sensational girl from Kumbh Mela, has been arrested in a rape case. A 28-year-old woman launched a complaint against him for sexually harassing her over 4 years by force and giving her false promises about marriage.
Delhi Police have arrested Mishra as his bail application has been rejected by Delhi High Court. He was arrested in Ghaziabad by Nabi Karim Police Station. The woman hails from a small town and she alleged that Mishra coerced her to undergo three abortions and stated that they stayed in live-in relationship in Mumbai.
She also stated that she hails from Jhansi and saw her videos on Tik Tok and Instagram. As he offered a role and blackmailed to meet her at a private place, she went there to meet him. She shared that he gave her sedatives and then took objectionable pictures. Later, started sexually abusing her through further blackmail.
A police statement said, "An FIR was registered against Mishra at Nabi Karim police station in central Delhi, based on the complaint of a 28-year-old woman, who alleged abuse, forced abortions and threatening by the accused." The FIR was lodged on March 6, 2024, under several sections including rape, assault, causing miscarriage, and threatening.
The complainant also supported her allegations during a statement under section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). Police collected evidence related to abortions from a hospital in Muzaffarnagar. The director has been currently been held in judicial custody.
