Konda Surekha apologizes to Samantha and Akkineni Family

on Oct 3, 2024

Telangana Minister Konda Surekha made derogatory comments on Akkineni Family, majorly dragging Naga Chaitanya and Samantha divorce into the issue. She targeted ex-IT Minister KTR in her comments majorly, alleging that the minister misused his power and forced actresses from Film Industry to party with him. She further stated that he blackmailed them by phone tapping their conversations.

Dragging Akkineni family into the issue, Surekha stated that Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya tried to force Samantha to attend one of drug parties of KTR. As the actress did not oblige, the couple took a divorce. In a very demeaning and derogatory manner, she tried to state that Akkineni family would stoop to any low for pleasing politicians in power.

This triggered Nagarjuna, Amala Akkineni, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha to immediately ask her to retract her malicious comments. Even Telugu Industry bigwigs like Megastar Chiranjeevi, Jr. NTR, Allu Arjun, Natural Star Nani and MAA Association have released their statements in support of Akkineni Family, Samantha and asked minister to retract her words.

Now, in response to all the strong reactions, the minister has apologised to Samantha and Akkineni family. She explained that she got carried away while targeting KTR and talking about her own traumatic experience. She suggested that she unknowingly made those derogatory comments on respected celebrities in anger but never meant to harm anyone's reputation. She retracted those comments but said she would continue her fight against KTR in coming days, too.
