Nandamuri Kalyan Ram continues to delight with his films, despite hits and flops. He returned to the hit track after a prolonged hiatus with '118.' The film was an economic triumph as well as a huge acclaim. He is currently working on three films. One of them is 'Bimbisara.' Mallidi Vasshist directed the film.

He said that his calculations for this film were completely incorrect, and that Pataas, which was released two years later, made up for this film's losses. Kalyan Ram also produced the film Bimbisara under his own banner. The main characters were performed by Catherine Tresa, Samyukta Menon, and Warina Hussain. The soundtrack was composed by MM Keeravani.
