Kamal Controversial Tweet On Jayalalithaa
on Dec 6, 2016
Universal hero Kamal Haasan condoled the demise of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. But he was bit harsh. While condolence messages have been pouring in from all corners, Kamal Haasan took to Twitter to express his angst.
Kamal said, "Sincere condolences to all dependents / followers of Jayalalithaa."
This subdued message didn't go down well with Tamils, given the hassle the actor had to receive on Twitter following his tweet. Here are few of Tweets which opposed Kamal’s proclamation.
“what's the point in being well learned if there is no decency. Shame I used to be a fan of yours.”
“he never respect people sadist fellow Komali.”
“ur not a great artist u just a self concerend person who lack heart and humanity.”
“Excuse me who crictized kamal sir for his tweet pls control urself.dont unnecessarly blame kamal sir.who know his problem,” Tweeted a fan of Kamal Haasan supporting the actor.
Few others say that, Kamal’s Tweet has been misunderstood.
It may be mentioned here that, Kamal Haasan and Jayalalitha had a major fallout when the former's dream project Vishwaroopam was banned in Tamil Nadu.
In an emotional speech, Kamal Haasan said, he could be forced to leave the state of Tamil Nadu and India, because he was "fed up of being played around in a dirty political game."
However, it is unclear whether Kamal Haasan would pay homage to Jayalalithaa at Rajaji Hall in Chennai, where her body is kept.
