Amitabh Bachchan's wife goes against him

on Nov 24, 2016

Actress turned politician Jaya Bachchan has joined the protest against demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes at Jantar Mantar in Delhi alongside West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. Jaya seems to be towing the line quiet different from that of her entire family. A majority of Indian citizens have supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetisation decision including Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have extended their support for the move. Amitabh’s wife and Samajwadi Party politician Jaya Bachchan is an MP of Rajya Sabha for Uttar Pradesh.  Jaya who was seen sharing the stage with the opposite camp led by leaders like Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, has not clearly explained her personal take on the issue. Jaya’s decision also shows that the Bachchan family is either divided in their opinions on demonetisation move or they have just taken a stand that suits best to their personal interests.
