Who Killed Jai Lava Kusa?

on Sep 22, 2017

First of all, it’s not an easy task for one to play dual or multiple roles in a film, since different variations should be shown for each character. Young Tiger Jr NTR once again proved that why he is one of the best performers. He essayed three different characters productively; especially Jai role will be remembered forever.

Keeping aside talk, NTR is winning accolades for his stellar performance. Though JLK got stunning openings from everywhere, the movie may not have long run at the ticket window. Here are the factors which killed prospects of JLK:

There’s nothing much to describe about Jai Lava Kusa, except for NTR’s acting. While two heroines Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas were restricted for songs and very few sequences, the film hardly has any notable comedians to provide some amusement.

Coming to technical department, writer Kona Venkat hasn’t put even minimum of efforts to pen an engaging screenplay, since we hardly remember any episodes in the film. There are countless loopholes in script from start to end.

Director Bobby has wasted another great opportunity. When a filmmaker has a chance to helm a performer like NTR, they opt to take maximum care on each and every bit. Nonetheless, Bobby might have focused just on Jai character and gave least importance to rest of the things.

Devi Sri Prasad who always gives best album and re-recording for NTR too has disappointed with mediocre music for JLK. Except for Raavana song, no other song in the film was fascinating. And his work on BGM too was pretty ordinary. Cinematography by Chota K Naidu was also not up to the mark.

Apparently, Jai Lava Kusa was made on limited budget, compared to NTR’s last few films. They shot all the songs in sets and entire movie was filmed in countable number of locations.

Overall, Jai Lava Kusa caters nothing for regular movie buffs, though fans may gratify with NTR’s performance.
