Devara Part 1 starring Jr. NTR has become a hit and fans of the actor have been waiting for the Part 2. While it did attract criticisms from audiences for screenplay and few portions, fans have been seriously waiting for it. Koratala Siva has been waiting patiently to start the film shooting from 2024.
There have been rumors about Part 2 being canceled and NTR not showing any interest in it. After WAR 2, he started working on NTRNEEL project, in the direction of Prashanth Neel for Mythri Movie Makers. Initially, movie was planned for January or April 2026 release but injuries, health issues and transformation of NTR took time.
Still, the movie shoot is going on at a snail pace and the actor is said to be going to rehab for his injury from time to time to get better. At this moment, Yuvasudha Arts producer Sudhakar Mikklineni at an event stated that the shoot will start May 2026 and it will release in 2027.
But can the movie really start in May 2026 has become a huge question. While Naga Vamsi gave a hint that there could be an announcement about Lord Kumaraswamy's God of War book based mythological film in Trivikram Srinivas director with NTR for his birthday, now, Sudhakar making such a statement gave rise to speculations all over.
Looking at the current pace, Prashanth Neel might not rush to finish their film, Dragon and if NTR returns to Devara Part 2, God of War, might take a year or few more months to take off. Will that be acceptable or will he act in both at the same time? Devara physique is different from NTRNeel and possibly God of War too.
Not that anybody wants NTR to rush through his films but producers have to invest hundreds of crores in these films and hence, the pressure of loans and money accumulation will be huge too. We have to wait for official word from NTR about his next line-up which might come across during his birthday in May.
