Hindu Outfit Attacks Salman Over Title
on Jul 3, 2015
Laced with religion all over, it’s tough to make films in India with so much of aesthetic sense and realism. Because if there is slight imbalance in the name of artistic freedom or creativity, then these religious fundamentalists are going to attack you big. Here comes another such instance.
People from outfits of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal protested against Salman Khan's upcoming Eid release "Bajrangi Bhaijaan". Raising slogans against him, the group demanded that the film’s title be changed as it hurts Hindu sentiments. In case if Salman and the makers failed to change the title, teh group threatened to launch a massive protest and disrupt screening of the film.
The other day a person in Uttar Pradesh has filed a PIL against Salman, Yash Raj Films and director Kabir Khan demanding that ‘Bhaijaan’ be removed from the title, besides dropping other objectionable scenes in the movie.
