Awards have lost charm says this Hero
on Nov 5, 2016
Rock On 2 actor Actor Arjun Rampal today said that award shows have lost their "charm" these days. "It (national award) is very dear to me. There are so many award shows happening these days that they (award shows) have lost charm. I know there will be expectation (about winning national award this time) but I am not under pressure (to win the award)," said Arjun. He added "The more commercial they make, it loses its credibility. It becomes boring. I think the award functions have lost tremendous amount of credibility in my life." He is reprising his role of Joe in "Rock On 2", the first ever sequel of a musical in Bollywood. The 43-year-old actor had won his maiden National award for his 2008 musical drama film "Rock On". For Arjun, the National Film Award has not been corrupted. "I would love to see a genuine award function come out. All of this makes my National Award even so much more special. At least, I have that. National Awards are not corrupted and it's a sacred place," he said.
