If you are feeling low – you must surely watch his cinemas and they will refresh you and that’s our guarantee. Whose cinemas are we speaking about so confidently? His accidental visit to watch a shoot changed his mind and this Engineer, then turned himself into one of the finest actors in the Tollywood Industry. There has always been debates in accepting that he was not only a “Hasya Kireeti” but a “NataKireeti” too.
Born into a middle-class family, Rajendra Prasad completed his graduation with a diploma in Ceramic Engineering. He also started his career as an Engineer but had to resign since he was too young. An engineer by profession how did Rajendra Prasad start his acting career? Well at this young age, he happened to watch the shooting of Tatamma Kala. This triggered the actor in him and soon after that he joined the acting school where he learnt the basics and later on mastered his skills over “The Navarasas”.Rajendra Prasad made his debut as an actor with the film Sneham in 1977 and from there on, he has never looked back.
Without a proper timing, well written jokes fail and without any doubt this “HasyaKiriti” had excellent comedy timings and his perfect mannerisms were like cherry upon the cake! We can confidently tell that during his generation there was no actor with such perfect comedy timing and mannerism. And movies like Preminchu Pelladu, Aha Naa Pellanta, Vivaaha Bhojanambu, Ladies Tailor, Chettu Kinda Pleader, April 1 Vidudala, Rendu Rella Aaru, Iddaru Pellala Muddula Police and the list which goes endless prove it.
Rajendra Prasad chose roles that every middles class individual could relate to. May it be Balaji from Mister Pellam, Chitti Babu from Aa Okkati Adakku it looked like his only aim was to entertain audience in the best possible way and thus he can be called as the king of making smart choices while choosing his characters. A few writers and directors were very sure of casting only Rajendra Prasad for some of their stories since they believed only he could portray those characters with sheer brilliance.
How many of you know that our Ex-PrimeMinister P. V. Narasimha Rao was also Rajendra Prasad’s fan? Infact he has clearly written about this in his book “The Insider”. We cannot think Rajendra Prasad as only a comic actor, he blended himself in every possible character given to him and aced it without any difficulty and evolved with cinema. We all, at TeluguOne wish this versatile actor A very Happy Birthday.
