After blockbuster film 'Jalsa', Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Devi Sri Prasad have once again teamed up for a new movie 'Gabbar Singh'. The album has a bit song and 5 full songs. There are huge expectations on Gabbar Singh audio songs and let's find out whether the duo lived up to the hype or not with Gabbar Singh movie audio songs review.
1. Dekho Dekho Gabbar Singh
Singers: Baba Sehgal, Naveen Madhav
This song will be on the lines of Bollywood movie 'Singh is King' title song. Baba Sehgal has nothing new to do in this song as it lacks the tinge he created with the Jalsa title song few years ago. That's not all, the song also lacks the feel and goes flat with monotonic lyrics from Ramajogayya Sastry.
2. Aakasam Ammayiaithe
Singers: Shankar Mahadevan, Gopika Poornima and Chorus
The song is a melody with different interludes and tune. The song resembles Chaand Sifaarish song from Bollywood movie 'Fanaa'. Shankar Mahadevan sings it nonchalantly without any versatility as the song itself has nothing fresh to offer. The lyrics by Chandrabose are not at all impressive. In fact, he tried for some rhyming which doesn't strike well all the time.
3. Mandu Babulam
Singers: Kota Srinivasa Rao and Chorus
Actor Kota Srinivasa Rao has rendered his voice for this song and DSP should be appreciated for his experimental composition which is a blend of Sahiti's meaningful lyrics and wonderful beats. Though a bit song, it has been composed well.
4. Ey Pilla
Singers: Vaddepalli Srinivas, Pawan Kalyan
If you listen to the Mandu Babulam song, and immediately tune to this song, you feel this one is a continuation to it. Singer Vaddepalli Srinivas has faithfully imitated Kailash Kher and the song's orchestra will have some resemblances of DSP's earlier songs. Also, Pawan Kalyan has uttered few words in the song to appease his fans and no doubt it will be liked by them.
5. Dil Se Dil Se
Singers: Karthik, Shweta Mohan
This song is a rehash of Chiranjeevi's 'Chaila Chaila' and other hit songs of DSP! Singers Karthik and Shweta Mohan elevates the mood of the song beautifully. And Bhaskarbhatla's lyrics are fantastic and hummable only to make it a winner of this album.
6. Kevvu Keka
Singers: Mamata Sharma, 'Kushi' Murali
Devi Sri Prasad's item songs are super hits and always have a special place among masses and classes. The song is very catchy with good lyrics from Sahiti and has awesome beat through out. But, the song doesn't go with the same flow of energy it has in the beginning. As it's an item number, the range of the song depends on how well the audience connects to it after watching it onscreen.
My picks: Mandu Babulam, Ey Pilla and Dil Se
Overall, Gabbar Singh audio is racy, good in parts and lacks freshness. The fans of Pawan Kalyan will like it without any second thought as the album is aimed at them. And for the normal audience, this is not the album they are looking out from DSP as his trademark style goes missing!
